First: Sit, close your eyes, and cross your hands over your heart. Relax and just feel your breath going in and out of your body. Really pay attention to the amazing miracle of breathing. As you breathe, begin to focus more and more on each breath, and on your chest moving in and out, in and out, in and out.

Second: Now feel that your body is really relaxing. As you place your hands on your chest, it is natural to focus on breathing. This is a good thing. Breathe in. Breathe out.

Third: Focusing further, breathe in and out with counts. Breathe in to a count of 5, hold to the count of 5, breathe out to the count of 5. Do this series 5 times. Mentally watch as your hands go up and down, your breath goes in and out, and everything slows way, way, way down. Very quiet now, very still.

Fourth: Move your hands into your lap but remain focused on your breathing.

Fifth: Now, tap your forehead to count 3. Then pause and count 3. Now tap your forehead again, 3 times.

Sixth: Imagine your breath moving up from your chest and flowing into your third eye center at the forehead. Your breath is going into your third eye. Breathe in through your third eye 3 times. Pause to a count of 3. Breathe out 3 counts. Do this series 3 times.

Now rest your hands on your lap. Focus on the third eye center. Let the breath move freely and slowly through the third eye. Let the breath move freely and slowly, free and slow, free, slow, slow, slow.

Now focus entirely on the third eye center. Let the thought of your breath subside, and now there is nothing else in the world but your third eye center. Focus there. Look there. Concentrate there.

INTEGRATION: DEEPENING AND DAILY PRACTICE

As you focus on this higher point of consciousness, know that you have transcended your mortal thoughts of the conscious and subconscious mind, and are free. Alive. Intuitive. And you just are.

If your thoughts return, replace them with this mantra:

  • I imagine I AM the pure soul.

  • I imagine I AM the highest self I truly am.
