WHY 21 DAYS?

There has been a long-standing belief that you can either form or break a habit in 21 days. The actual science suggests the reality could be shorter or longer for either.

But taking a challenge for 21 days seems doable! It’s not as long as a month, which can seem like a long time! It’s more than just a few days, which might not produce results.

So, a mere 3 weeks, 21 days, seems perfect! “The origin of the 'three-week theory' has nothing to do with habits, per se. It originated from the 1960 self-help book, Psycho-Cybernetics, in which plastic surgeon Maxwell Maltz observed that it took his patients about 21 days to get used to their new appearance after surgery. No formal experiment was conducted to verify this, but his book applied this 21-day timeline to self-transformation in many other wide-ranging aspects of life. WHAT RESULTS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

Write out exactly what you would like to accomplish in the 21-Day Change Your Mind Challenge. For example:

  1. “I want to change my mind about my financial status, and make up my mind to attract more opportunities, more abundance, and more prosperity.”

  2. “I am ready to change my mind from a pessimistic mindset to a positive mindset. I control my thoughts, and now change my mind about how I now think about everything in a positive light.”

  3. “I want to change my mind about my sleep habits by knowing that I can get a good night's sleep every night. I can easily change my mind about this, starting tonight.” 

  4. “I want to change my mind about eating healthy, and make up my mind to make healthier food choices each day.”

  5. “I want to change my mind about how I think about someone so that I see them in positive vibrations, and think positive thoughts about them.”

HOW TO TAKE THE 21-DAY CHANGE YOUR MIND CHALLENGE:

Step 1: Make a Word doc with 28 blank pages. Number the pages. When you begin the Challenge, date the pages.

Step 2: Select a start date and an end date.

Step 3: Title the Document as such:  MY 21-Day Change My Mind Challenge.

Step 4: Make a list of the changes you are seeking.

Step 5: From that list, choose 4 things you want to change in the next 21 days.

HOW TO START YOUR LIST OF CHANGES

Create a Word doc with 28 pages as follows, using your own list of changes you want to see. At the end of each day, review your page and record your thoughts and feelings about what happened that day, what changed, and how you feel with a different mindset. Practice the same Affirmations for 4 days in a row, then move on to the next set. At the end of the 21 days, create your Manifestation and Reflection Summary.

THEME: PROSPERITY

Day 1 - 4: Practice this affirmation each day several times a day. “I live in an enormously prosperous universe of infinite grains of sand, and unimagined and countless stars, solar systems, and planets, and so much infinity, that I am continually surrounded by infinite prosperity. I claim my PROSPERITY for me NOW.”

THEME: SUCCESS

Day 5-8: Practice this affirmation each day, several times a day. “Today, I change my mind from the thought of disappointment in my career to the idea of success in my career. I am now reflecting on how grateful I am for all the success in my life, on all levels. I am successful in everything I do. I claim SUCCESS for me NOW. ”

THEME: LOVE, ROMANCE, FRIENDSHIPS

Day 9-12: Practice this affirmation each day, several times a day. “I now change my mindset to one of love, caring, consideration, and respect for all people; and now I can and will attract new love, new romance, and new friendships into my life. My heart attracts other good-hearted people to me. I claim LOVE from all people, right NOW.”

THEME: HEALTH, FOOD CHOICES, HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

Day 13-16: Practice this affirmation every day, several times a day. “I make up my mind right now to choose healthier foods, to always think of myself as healthy, and to affirm that I choose a healthy lifestyle today and each day. I affirm and change my mind to a healthy mindset! I claim GOOD HEALTH for me NOW.”

THEME: GOAL-SETTING

Day 17-20: Practice this affirmation each day, several times a day. “I am changing my mind about my goals. I am going to make better, more prosperous choices for my career and my goals. I affirm that I am currently setting goals that are attainable, healthy, and energizing. I have changed my mind about my career and now see it in a healthier, richer, more enriching part of my life. I claim my new CAREER GOALS right NOW.”

THEME: MANIFESTATION AND REFLECTION SUMMARY

DAY 21: “Today, as I end this Challenge, I am grateful as I continue to keep a healthy mind which is flexible to receive and which MANIFESTS all the good things I desire, such as prosperity, health, great friendships and love interests, and a career that satisfies me and sustains me. I now see and completely understand the importance of changing my mind from negative mindsets to positive mindsets. I feel grateful. I claim my POSITIVE MINDSET in all things, right NOW.”

Before and after you have taken THE 21-DAY CHANGE YOUR MIND CHALLENGE, continue to use your own affirmations and goal-setting challenges and insert them in the 21-Day calendar. Repeat the 21-Day Challenge each month using the same themes or using new themes. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
